ERIE COUNTY, OH. (THECOUNT) — Javon Brown, of Bellevue, Ohio, has been identified as the shooter in an attempted murder murder-suicide in Erie County early Sunday morning.

Brown, 18, died, and a 17-year-old female was injured, in what authorities say was an overnight attempted murder suicide-murder in Bellevue.

According to reports, police responded to a call of shot fired in the 9000 block of Ohio 269 around 3:45 a.m. Sunday. When they arrived, Brown and a female were found suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

Brown was pronounced dead at the scene of gunshot injuries.

The female was transported to an area hospital where she remains un stable condition.

Investigators determined that Brown shot the female in the head during an argument about their relationship. Brown then turned the gun on himself.

Sheriff’s detectives and Bureau of Criminal Investigation agents remain on the scene as of Sunday afternoon.

Officials are treating the incident as an attempted murder-suicide.
