CHICAGO, IL. (THECOUNT) — Jerry Springer, known best for his decades long talk show “The Jerry Springer Show,” has died. He was 79.
Springer, who more recently served as a judge on his daytime show “Judge Jerry,” died after a battle with a “brief illness,” according to reports.
TMZ reports the cause of death as pancreatic cancer saying that Springer was diagnosed just a few months ago.
The spokesperson for Springer said he died Thursday morning, peacefully at his home in the Chicago area.
