SUFFOLK COUNTY, NY. (THECOUNT) — Paul Christian Harrison, of Hauppauge, New York, has been identified as the victim in a Monday night fatal e-scooter collision in Suffolk County.

Harrison, 54, was killed in a two-vehicle crash involving an e-scooter Monday night near Hauppauge.

According to reports, Harrison was operating an e-scooter on NY-347/ Smithtown Bypass near Southern Boulevard in Nesconset, when a 40-year-old Lake Grove operating a Dodge Ram ProMaster City pickup truck made contact with the scooter around 9:20 p.m. Monday.

Harrison was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries.

The Dodge Ram driver was not injured in the collision.

The Dodge and the scooter were impounded for safety checks.
