BERKELEY COUNTY, SC. (THECOUNT) —Roger Austin and Avery Austin, of Ridgeville, South Carolina, have been identified as the victims in a Saturday night double-fatal motorcycle crash in Berkeley County.
The father and daughter, 44 and 18, were both killed in a single-vehicle motorcycle crash in Summerville Monday night.
According to reports, the pair were traveling on a Honda motorcycle on Cypress Campground Road in Ridgeville, when for unknown reasons, the bike exited the roadway around 8:50 p.m. Saturday. The bike then came into contact with a grouping of trees.
Both riders were pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries suffered in the wreck.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
