PICKENS COUNTY, SC. (THECOUNT) — Robert T. Barrett, of Clemson, South Carolina, has been identified as the pedestrian in a Wednesday night fatal vehicle strike in Pickens County.
Bob Barrett, 68, was killed after he was struck by a vehicle near Clemson University in Clemson Wednesday night.
According to reports, Barrett was on-foot in the area of Highway 93 near Perimeter Road in Clemson, when he was struck by a vehicle around 8:50 p.m. Wednesday.
Barrett was pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries at the scene.
No further information was provided by officials as of Thursday morning.
The Clemson University Police Department is investigating the deadly incident.
