SCOTT COUNTY, MN. (THECOUNT) — Megan Rae Taylor, of Saint Michael, Minnesota, has been identified as the victim in a Thursday fatal vehicle crash in Scott County.
Taylor, 50, was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Spring Lake Township late Thursday afternoon.

According to reports, Arturo Garcia Rivera, 39, of Lakeville, was operating a GMC Sierra towing a trailer on Panama Avenue near 190th Street East in Lake Prior, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and traveled into opposing lanes around 3 p.m. Thursday. The vehicle then came into head-on contact with a Volkswagen Tiguan operated by Taylor.
An 11-year-old passenger in the GMC was ejected during the crash and was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Rivera was uninjured in the wreck.
Taylor was pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries at the scene.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
