FORSYTH COUNTY, NC. (THECOUNT) — Ashley Wilson and Alicia Dye, have been identified as the victims in a Wednesday night double-fatal vehicle crash in Forsyth County, North Carolina.

Wilson, 31, and 43-year-old Dye, were both killed in a multi-vehicle crash involving a child in Winston-Salem late Wednesday night.

According to reports, Wilson was operating a vehicle on Interstate 40, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and into opposing lanes around 11:50 p.m. Wednesday. The vehicle then came into head-on contact with a vehicle operated by Dye.

A third involved vehicle, operated by Tremaine Brown, 36, then also collided with Dye’s vehicle.

Wilson and Dye were pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries at the scene.

A child in Dye’s vehicle was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries.

Brown was also transported to an area hospital with serious injuries.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
