SMITH COUNTY, TX. (THECOUNT) — Denise Kay Brown, of Tyler, Texas, has been identified as the pedestrian in a Wednesday night fatal vehicle collision in Smith County.
Brown, 60, was fatally struck by a vehicle in Tyler Wednesday night.
According to reports, Brown was on-foot in the roadway in the area of East Erwin Street and Texas 323 Loop in Tyler, when she was struck by a passing vehicle around 9:15 a.m. Wednesday.
The driver of the involved vehicle stated he was unable to avoid Brown.
Brown was pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries at the scene.
There was no indication of impairment from the driver.
The case remains under investigation.
