BELIZE. (THECOUNT) — Logan Ceylon Pratt, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, has been identified as the victim in a Tuesday fatal boating accident in Belize.
Pratt, 17, was killed after she was struck by a boat while vacationing in Mexico Rocks, Belize, with her mother on Tuesday afternoon.
According to reports, the teen and her mother, 56-year-old Tamra Lee Pratt, were swimming at Mexico Rocks, when the teen was struck by a fishing boat around 2:20 p.m. Tuesday.
The teen was transported to an area hospital where she was pronounced dead of injuries suffered in the accident.
Belizean Tour Guide and Boat Captain, Jesse James Smith, 30, was detained and a drug test was performed.
