HAMPDEN COUNTY, MA. (THECOUNT) — Coreena Torres, of Palmer, Massachusetts, has been identified as the victim in a Sunday night fatal vehicle crash in Hampden County.
Torres, 42, was killed in a single-vehicle crash on the Massachusetts Turnpike in Chicopee Sunday night.
According to reports, Torres was operating a Nissan Rogue on Interstate 90 in Chicopee, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle lost control, rolled over and exited the roadway around 9:30 p.m. Sunday.
A 35-year-old male traveling in the vehicle was seriously injured in the wreck and transported to an area hospital.
Torres was pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries at the scene.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
