KERSHAW COUNTY, SC. (THECOUNT) — Barry John Artlip, of Lugoff, South Carolina, has been identified as the victim in a Friday fatal motorcycle crash in Kershaw County.
Artlip, 59, was killed in a single-vehicle motorcycle crash near Elgin Friday morning.
According to reports, Artlip was operating a Harley Davidson motorcycle on Highway Church Road near Steven Campbell Road, when for unknown reasons, the bike exited the roadway. The bike then entered a wooded area before coming into contact with a tree.
Artlip was pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries suffered in the wreck.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
