COVINGTON COUNTY, AL. (THECOUNT) — Shannon Lynn Howard, of Brewton, Alabama, and Lesa Moore King, of Georgiana, Alabama, have been identified as the victims in a Tuesday morning double-fatal vehicle crash in Covington County.
Howard, 53, and 62-year-old King, were both killed in a Tuesday morning crash near Georgiana.
According to reports, King was operating a Chevy Tahoe on AL-55 near Mile Marker 40, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and came into head-on contact with a Audi A6 operated by Howard around 10 a.m. Tuesday.
Both women were pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries at the scene.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
