SAINT LOUIS COUNTY, MO. (THECOUNT) — Larry Peeples, of Saint Louis, Missouri, has been identified as the pedestrian in a fatal vehicle collision Saturday night in Saint Louis County.

Peoples, 41, was killed after he was struck by a vehicle Saturday night in Saint Louis.

According to reports, a Chevrolet Monte Carlo was traveling on Interstate 170 near St. Charles Rock Road in Saint Louis, when the vehicle came into contact with a Ford Fusion around 8 p.m. Saturday. The Chevrolet then crossed centerlines and exited the roadway before coming into contact with Peoples, who was on-foot.

Peeples was pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries at the scene.

The 35-year-old driver of the Chevrolet, and the 59-year-old driver of the Ford, were both seriously injured in the wreck. Both drivers were transported to area hospitals.

The cause of the deadly incident remains under investigation.
