Snow College Softball Player Paige Rydalch ID’d As Victim In Monday Ephraim Fatal Crash

SANPETE COUNTY, UT. (THECOUNT) — Paige Rydalch, of Stockton, Utah, has been identified as the victim in a Monday fatal vehicle crash in Sanpete County.

Rydalch, a sophomore at Snow College and a Badgers softball star player, died following a two-vehicle crash in Ephraim.

According to reports, Rydalch was traveling in a vehicle on UT-132 in Ephraim, when the crash occurred Monday morning.

Rydalch was pronounced dead of injuries suffered in the wreck.

Further details on the crash were limited as of Monday night.

According to a statement on the community college’s website, School officials were alerted to the incident after Paige did not show up to practice Monday morning.

“Staff in the Athletics Department contacted Snow College Public Safety to report a missing student when Paige was not at practice this morning and were later notified by family of the death,” the release stated.

Rob Nielson, Snow College’s vice president of external affairs who also helped coach the softball team in 2022, said, “This has shocked and saddened our softball family. We know Paige, and we love her. She was a dedicated player who always put in the extra mile. She made others feel loved and had a work ethic like no other.”

Snow College President Stacee McIff said, “A tragedy like this impacts all of us. We are grieving the loss of a beloved young woman. We will do all we can to support Paige’s coaches, teammates, classmates, and family during this difficult time.”

The statement went on to say that the team will dedicate their season to Paige “in honor of the way she lived her life on and off the field.”
