NE Men Dustan Biegler & Colton Hill ID’d As Victims In Wednesday Auburn Double-Fatal Plane Crash

NEMAHA COUNTY, NE. (THECOUNT) — Dustan Biegler, of Valparaiso, Nebraska, and Colton Hill, of Kearney, Nebraska, have been identified as the victims in a Wednesday night double-fatal small plane crash in Nemaha County.

Hill, 24, and 41-year-old Biegler, were both killed after a small plane crashed near Auburn, Nebraska on Wednesday night.

According to reports, Hill was piloting a small plane, when for unknown reasons, the plane went down about 1 mile from the Auburn Municipal Airport – K01.

Authorities received a 911 call reporting a missing plane around 11 p.m. Wednesday. The caller told authorities said the plane had departed Lincoln for Auburn, but failed to return.

Both Hill and Biegler were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

A Kearney High School graduate, Colton graduated from UNK in May 2022 with an Aviation Systems Management degree with an emphasis in flight operations. He was also a pitcher on the 2018 Loper baseball team.

The FAA and NTSB have been notified and will conduct the investigation into the crash of the plane.
