LOWNDES COUNTY, MS. (THECOUNT) — Summer Michelle Yearby, of Columbus, Mississippi, has been identified as the victim in a Tuesday morning fatal vehicle crash in Lowndes County.
Yearby, 40, was killed while traveling as a passenger in a vehicle in Columbus on Tuesday morning.
According to reports, Yearby was traveling as a passenger in a Honda Accord on Casey Lane in Columbus, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle exited the roadway and came into contact with a tree.
Yearby was pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries at the scene.
The unidentified driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
