WILKES COUNTY, NC. (THECOUNT) — Hayden Travis Eller, of Ferguson, North Carolina, has been identified as the pedestrian in a Wednesday fatal vehicle collision in Wilkes County.
Eller, 42, was killed after being struck by a vehicle near his Ferguson home early Wednesday morning.
According to reports, Eller was on-foot in the area of 9923 West U.S. Highway 421 in Ferguson, when he was struck by a passing Ford Fusion around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Eller was pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries at the scene.
The driver of the Ford Fusion, identified as a 32-year-old from Clemmons, remained on the scene and was not injured in the collision.
No one was cited at the scene and no charges are expected to be filed.
The cause of the deadly incident remains under investigation.
