ERIE COUNTY, NY. (THECOUNT) — GoFundMe For Anndel Taylor: Anndel Taylor has been identified as the young woman who died after becoming trapped in her vehicle during the massive snowstorm in Erie County, New York over the weekend.

Taylor, 22, was driving home from work in Buffalo when she got caught in the winter storm over the weekend. Taylor may have died of carbon monoxide poisoning when the vehicle’s exhaust pipe was blocked by snow, according to her mother.

Taylor contacted 911, however, rescuers were unable to reach her for more than 18 hours. She was later located deceased in her car.

A official with the Buffalo Fire Department said this was the first time in the agency’s history that conditions got too severe for emergency crews to respond.
