FRANKLIN COUNTY, IL. (THECOUNT) — Jeffery Brown, of Christopher, Illinois, has been identified as the victim in a Christmas Sunday fatal stabbing in Franklin County.
Jeff Brown, 37, was fatally stabbed in Christopher late Sunday evening.
According to reports, police responded to at home at 204 W 15th Street in Christopher on reports of a disturbance around 4:30 p.m. Sunday. When they arrived, a male victim was found suffering from apparent stab wounds.
The man, later identified as Brown, was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead of stab wound injuries.
No motive or suspect information was provided by officials.
The circumstances surrounding the fatal incident remain under investigation.
