SALINE COUNTY, KS. (THECOUNT) — Grant Lysell-Alkire, of Lindsborg, Kansas, has been identified as the victim in a Wednesday vehicle crash in Saline County.
Lysell-Alkire, 21, was killed in a single-vehicle crash near Bridgeport Wednesday night.
According to reports, Lysell-Alkire was traveling as a passenger in a Mazda SUV on Interstate 135 near South Old Highway 81 near Bridgeport, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle exited the roadway and entered a culvert around 9:20 p.m. Wednesday. The vehicle then rolled over.
Lysell-Alkire was pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries at the scene.
The 16-year-old boy operating the vehicle was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
