TIPTON COUNTY, IN. (THECOUNT) — Connor Gavin Petro, of Sheridan, Indiana, and Adam Michael Gordon Johnson, of Kokomo, Indiana, have been identified as the victims in a Sunday double-fatal vehicle crash in Tipton County.
Petro, 18, and 17-year-old Johnson, were both killed in a single-vehicle crash involving a Smart Car in Cicero Township early Sunday morning.
According to reports, the teens were traveling in a subcompact Smart Car on State Route 19 near West Division Road in Tipton, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle exited the roadway and rolled over multiple times around 2 a.m. Sunday.
Petro and Johnson, who were ejected from the vehicle during the wreck, were pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries at the scene.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
