CHATHAM COUNTY, GA. (THECOUNT) — Carey Powers, of Atlanta, Georgia, has been identified as the victim found fatally shot in Chatham County on Friday night.
Powers, 35, was shot dead, and 21-year-old Adaunt’e ‘Dot’ Kimble was arrested on murder charges following the fatal incident in Savannah Friday night.
According to reports, police responded to a call of shots fired in the 1000 block of King George Boulevard in Savannah. When they arrived, Powers was found suffering gunshot wounds Friday night.
Powers, an Atlanta area “CA-LA-PO” fashion designer, was pronounced dead of gunshot injuries at the scene.
Kimble, of Sahannah, was arrested and charged with murder.
Investigators say Powers and Kimble knew each other.
An autopsy will be performed to determine an official cause of death.
Kimble remains in custody at the Chatham County Detention Center.
