PINELLAS COUNTY, FL. (THECOUNT) — Jamie Leon Hobdy, of Tampa, Florida, has been identified as the body pulled from a retention pond in Pinellas County on Monday.
Hobdy, 42, was reported missing by a relative before being located deceased in a St. Petersburg retention pond on Monday.
The retention pond is located near Interstate 275 and Gandy Boulevard in St. Petersburg.
Hobdy was pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives were able to match a distinguishing tattoo to help identify him.
Police said they are still investigating the manner and circumstances of his death.
