FRESNO COUNTY, CA. (THECOUNT) — Kenyatta Williams. of Fresno, California, has been identified as the victim in a Thursday double-fatal shooting in Fresno County.
Williams, 25, was fatally shot, and his brother was wounded, in a Thursday double-shooting in Fresno.
According to reports, police responded to a call of shots fired at an apartment complex near East Olive Avenue and North 9th Street in Fresno around 3:40 p.m. Thursday. When they arrived, Williams and his 27-year-old brother were found suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
Both victims were transported to an area hospital where Kenyatta was later pronounced dead of gunshot injuries.
His brother is expected to survive.
Police say an unknown gunman opened fire and then fled the area. No further motive or suspect information was provided.
Detectives are trying to locate surveillance video from nearby residences and businesses that might have captured the incident.
