LAKE COUNTY, IN. (THECOUNT) — Ali Milita Sebastian, of Crown Point, Indiana, and William Stepp, of Wheatfield, Indiana, have been identified as the victims in a Saturday double-fatal wrong-way vehicle crash in a Lake County.
Sebastian, 28, and 48-year-old Stepp, were both killed in a multi-vehicle wrong-way crash in Crown Point Saturday.
According to reports, police were notified that a Chevrolet Equinox was traveling the wrong-way on Interstate 65 near Mile Marker 147 on Saturday. When officials arrived, the vehicle had already made head-on contact with another vehicle.
Both Sebastian and Stepp were killed in the collision.
Officials did not say which driver was going the wrong-way.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
