IBERIA PARISH, LA. (THECOUNT) — Rickey Paul Flores, of New Iberia, Louisiana, has been identified as the victim in a Friday night fatal bicycle-versus-vehicle crash in Iberia Parish.
Flores, 44, was killed while riding a bicycle in New Iberia Friday night.
According to reports, Flores was operating a bicycle on Bull Island Road near LA-682 in New Iberia, when a vehicle caused the bicycle to swerve into opposing lanes around 10 p.m. Friday. The bicycle then came into contact with a Ford Ranger.
Flores was thrown from the bike during the collision.
Flores was pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries at the scene.
No one was cited at the scene.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
