LENOIR COUNTY, NC. (THECOUNT) — Roy Mozingo, of Kinston, North Carolina, has been identified as the wrong-way driver in a Sunday night quadruple-fatal crash in Lenoir County.
Mozingo, 68, was driving the wrong-way on Highway 70 bypass in La Grange in a Sunday night crash that killed three young people and seriously injured another.
According to reports, Mozingo was operating a vehicle east in the westbound lanes of Highway 70 Bypass in La Grange, when the vehicle came into contact with a vehicle operated by 21-year-old Treyvon Mitchell Allen of Phoenix, Arizona around 10:45 p.m. Sunday.
Mozingo was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
Allen and two teenage passengers, Aaron Judd, 17, and Reianna Jones, 15, both of Holly Springs, were all killed in the crash. A fourth passenger, Antonio Winston, 27, from Holly Springs, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
