BROOKLYN, NY. (THECOUNT) — A teenage girl was stabbed in the abdomen by stranger on a Brooklyn street in broad daylight Wednesday.

The unidentified 18-year-old was walking at Central Avenue and Bleecker Street in Bushwick around 10:20 a.m. when the bearded man dressed in black suddenly stabbed her in the stomach.

The attacker, who was not apprehended, was described as an emotionally disturbed stranger.

“She doesn’t know who it is,” a police source said. “It looks like an EDP (emotionally disturbed person).”

The woman was transported to an area hospital in stable condition. It wasn’t clear what the suspect used to stab her, a police spokesman said.

The suspect was described as wearing black and having a beard, according to officials.

There were no arrests.
