GALLATIN COUNTY, MT. (THECOUNT) — Kimberli Jones, of Gallatin Gateway, Montana, has been identified as the deceased shooter in a Tuesday night Gallatin County murder-suicide. Her husband, Dr. Jason Jones, has been identified as the victim.
Kimberli Jones, 50, was found dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound near the Hyalite Reservoir after fatally shooting Dr. Jones in Gallatin Gateway Tuesday night.
An unidentified witness reported observing Kimberli Jones shoot her husband before fleeing the area. She was later found deceased by an individual recreating hours later near Hyalite Reservoir.
The same gun appeared to be used in both shootings, say investigating officials.
