SUFFOLK COUNTY, MA. (THECOUNT) — Delanie Fekert, of Floral Park, New York, and Urashi Mandani, of North Andover, Massachusetts, have been identified as the victims in a Saturday night double-fatal vehicle crash in Suffolk County.
Fekert and Mandani, both 25, were killed in a three-vehicle rideshare crash involving a tow truck Saturday night in Boston.
According to reports, Fekert and Mandani were traveling in a Lexus SUV operated by a 53-year-old male rideshare driver from Revere, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle suddenly slowed on Interstate 93 Saturday night. The vehicle was then rear-ended by the tow-truck. A Honda Civic then rear-ended the tow-truck.
Fekert and Mandani, who became entrapped in the Lexus, were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
The driver of the Lexus was transported to an area hospital with serious unknown injuries.
The Salem tow truck driver and a Manchester woman operating the Honda, were both uninjured in the wreck.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
