PIKE COUNTY, AL. (THECOUNT) — Don Parrish, who worked for Pilcher’s Ambulance Service, has been identified as the victim in a Thursday night ambulance crash in Pike County.
Parrish, a retired member of the Dothan Fire Department, was killed in a crash while working at Pilcher Ambulance Service.
According to reports, the medical vehicle exited the roadway for unknown reasons. The vehicle then came into contact hit a tree and then burst into flames.
The patient being transported in the ambulance did not receive any significant injuries in the crash.
Further details of the crash were not immediately provided.
Dothan Fire Chief Larry Williams encouraged everyone to “lift up Don’s personal family, his Pilcher family, and his Dothan Fire family.”
