BARTON COUNTY, MO. (THECOUNT) — Benjamin Lane Harrington of Lamar, Missouri, has been identified as the victim in a Sunday fatal vehicle crash in Barton County.
Harrington, 18, was killed, and two other juveniles were injured, in a single-vehicle rollover crash near Lamar early Sunday morning.
According to reports, Harrington was operating a Chevrolet Impala on State Highway V about 10 miles northwest of Lamar, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 1:45 a.m. Sunday. The vehicle then came into contact with a bluff and rolled over.
Harrington was pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries at the scene.
Two juvenile passengers were transported to an area hospital with unknown injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
