LA PORTE COUNTY, IN. (THECOUNT) — Timothy Russell Hefner, of Michigan City, Indiana, has been identified as the victim in a Wednesday fatal motorcycle crash in LaPorte County.
Hefner, 29, was killed in a two-vehicle motorcycle crash involving a semi-tractor late Wednesday afternoon.
According to reports, Hefner was operating a motorcycle on US-20 near Renaissance Academy Montessori Charter School in La Porte, when the bike came into rear-end contact with a big-rig around 4 p.m. Wednesday.
Hefner was pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries at the scene.
The driver of the truck was not injured.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
