GRANT COUNTY, MN. (THECOUNT) — Tyler Stone, of Hoffman, Minnesota, has been identified as the victim in a Sunday Grant County fatal vehicle crash.
Stone, 18, was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Elbow Lake Sunday evening. Dalton Johnson, 23, of Brandon, has been identified as the other involved driver.
According to reports, Stone was operating a Chevrolet Impala on Highway 79 near CR-21 in Elbow Lake, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle collided head-on with a Chevrolet Silverado, operated by Johnson around 4:30 p.m. Sunday.
Johnson was transported to an area hospital with what was described as non-life-threatening injuries.
Stone, a West Central Area-Ashby Knights football player, was pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries at the scene.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
