PIERCE COUNTY, WA. (THECOUNT) — A GoFundMe with over $21,000 in contributions for Gabriel Davies, the Washington state teen accused of murdering a 51-year-old Orting man, has been shut down by the fundraising company.

The GoFundMe was set up Saturday to raise money for the 16-year-old’s legal defense, however, it showed “not found” on Sunday. According to GoFundMe, the service does not allow anyone to raise money for someone suspected of a violent crime.

Davies mysteriously disappeared Wednesday night from Olympia, Washington. During the search for the teen, blood was found inside his abandoned truck. As the search continued, officials found the body of a 51-year-old man, whom Davies once lived with.

The victim, who was reportedly the ex-fiancé of the mother, had been fatally shot inside his Pierce County Chinook Estates home on the 21900 block 190th Street East in Orting.

Davies re-appeared Thursday night where he and other teenage boy were arrested and booked into the Pierce County Juvenile Detention Center on suspicion of second-degree murder.

GoFundMe said the page violated its terms of All donations to Davies’ defense will be refunded.

Davies and his alleged accomplice are expected to be in court Tuesday.
