SACRAMENTO COUNTY, CA. (THECOUNT) — Kenneth Mueller, of El Dorado Hills, California – Chief Financial Officer for Raley’s Grocery Store chain – has been identified as the victim in a Sunday double-fatal plane crash in Sacramento County.
Mueller, 58, and the company’s chief pilot, 68-year-old Richard Conte of Orangevale, were both killed following a small plane crashed in a remote area of Sacramento County on Sunday morning.
According to reports, the Beech 58 plane crashed around 9 a.m. into an orchard near Christensen Road and Twin Cities road near Galt, according to the FAA.
Mueller joined Raley’s in 1997 with an extensive background in financial and accounting operations. As CFO, Ken leads the financial services, payroll, real estate and information services departments in implementing strategic financial plans and managing core business systems and technology.
Ken received his bachelor’s in accounting from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. He earned his CPA certificate in 1993. Ken served as controller for Jampro Antennas and held accounting positions with Toms & Rojas CPAs and Ernst & Young. Ken and his wife, Brigitte, have two children.
