GUTHRIE COUNTY, IA. (THECOUNT) — Benjamin Todd Wilber, of Mora, Minnesota, has been identified as the victim in a Tuesday fatal motorcycle crash involving a police cruiser in Guthrie County, Iowa.
Wilber, 30, was killed in a two-vehicle motorcycle crash near Casey, Iowa early Tuesday morning.
According to reports, Wilber was operating a Harley Davidson motorcycle on Juniper Avenue in Casey, when the bike came into contact with a parked Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office patrol vehicle around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Officials say that Wilber was fleeing police when the crash occurred.
Wilber was pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries at the scene.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
