RUTLAND COUNTY, VT. (THECOUNT) — Chelsea Wing Sikora, of South Hero, Vermont, has been identified as the pedestrian fatally struck Friday night in Rutland County.
Sikora, 42, was killed near Rutland after she was struck by suspected impaired driver, Brett Senif, 48, of Rutland City.
According to reports, Sikora was on-foot crossing State Route 7 near Cold River Road in North Clarendon, when she was struck by a vehicle operated by Senif around 8:30 p.m. Friday.
Sikora was pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries.
Senif was arrested and transported to the State Police Barracks in Rutland for driving under the influence.
The crash is still under investigation.
