BELL COUNTY, TX. (THECOUNT) — Matthew Odle, of Killeen, Texas, has been identified as the victim in a Friday morning double-fatal vehicle crash involving a 25-year-old unlicensed driver in Bell County.
Odle, 38, and Cardavious Taplin, were killed in two-vehicle crash near Nolanville Friday morning.
According to reports, Odle was operating a vehicle on Interstate 14 near Paddy Hamilton Road in Belton, when the vehicle was involved in a collision with a vehicle operated by unlicensed driver, Courtney Madison, around 5:10 a.m. Friday.
Odle was pronounced dead at the scene.
Shandrea Taylor, a passenger in Madison’s vehicle, and Madison, suffered unknown injuries in the crash.
Taplin, also a passenger in Madison’s vehicle, was pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries at the scene.
The cause of the accident is being investigated by the Nolanville Police Department with assistance from the Texas Department of Public Safety.
