JACKSON COUNTY, MO. (THECOUNT) — A woman was found fatally shot outside an automotive shop in Lee’s Summit Wednesday Morning.
The business, Orion Car Clinic in Lee’s Summit, is the scene of a homicide investigation after a woman was found shot outside the business early Wednesday morning.
According to reports, police were dispatched to at 28009 E Colbern Rd in Lee’s Summit on a report of shots fired. When they arrived, a woman, who has not been identified, was found suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
The woman was pronounced dead of gunshot injuries at the scene.
A person of interest has been identified by officials. It is unclear if that person was in custody or what relation, if any, that person has to the victim.
According to public records, the business is owned by 32-year-old Orion Austgen of Lee’s Summit.
