SCOTT COUNTY, MN. (THECOUNT) — Joseph Ray Jacobson, of Shakopee, Minnesota, has been identified as the driver in a Tuesday night Scott County fatal vehicle collision with an 8-year-old girl riding a bicycle.
Jacobson, 47, was arrested on suspicion of criminal vehicular homicide after he struck the little girl with his vehicle as she ride her bike with her mother in Prior Lake Tuesday night.
According to reports, the girl was riding her bike with her mother supervising near Dakota Trail in Prior Lake, when the girl was struck by a vehicle operated by Jacobson around 8 p.m. Tuesday.
Jacobson and is currently being held in the Scott County Jail.
