NEW YOUR, NY. (THECOUNT) — Rapper Fetty Wap, real name, Willie Maxwell II, will be sentenced to a minimum of 5 years behind bars after pleading guilty to a federal drug charge Monday.
Maxwell, 31, appeared in court Monday where he pled guilty to one count of intent to distribute controlled substances including cocaine, heroin and fentanyl pills for his arrest back in October. Officials also seized guns and over $1.5M in cash.
Two of his co-defendants, Robert Leonardi and Anthony Cyntje pleaded guilty to the same count, in addition to firearms charges.
According to TMZ, the rap star, who remains in custody, faces a mandatory minimum sentence of five years in prison. Officials are estimating he’ll serve anywhere between 87-108 months … but he can’t get less than the 5-year minimum.
