CLINTON COUNTY, OH. (THECOUNT) — Bonita Christon, of Fayetteville, Ohio, has been identified as the victim in a Saturday evening fatal wrong-way crash in Clinton County. Derrick Ison, of Hillsboro, Ohio, has been identified as the other involved driver.
Christon, 59, was killed, and 40-year-old Ison suffered life threatening injuries, in a two-vehicle wrong-way crash near Fayetteville Saturday.
According to reports, Christon was operating a Chevrolet Equinox on US-68 near Fayetteville, when Ison’s GMC Sierra came into head-on contact.
Christon was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
Ison was transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
