WOOD COUNTY, TX. (THECOUNT) — Ginger Durham, of Mineola, Texas, has been identified as the victim in a double-fatal Thursday night vehicle crash in Wood County.
Durham, 18, was killed in a two-vehicle crash involving two teen drivers near Alba Thursday night.
According to reports, a Chrysler Town and Country, operated by a 16-year-old driver, was traveling on US-69 near Alba, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and into opposing lanes. The vehicle then came into head-on contact with a Land Rover, operated by Durham.
Both the 16-year-old Chrysler driver and Durham were pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries at the scene.
A passenger in Durham’s vehicle was airlifted to an area hospital where she is reported to be in stable condition.
Durham had recently graduated Mineola High School.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
