SALINE COUNTY, AR. (THECOUNT) — Peyton Mitchell, of Benton, Arkansas, has been identified as the victim in a Wednesday morning vehicle crash in Saline County.
Mitchell, 24, was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Benton early Wednesday morning.
According to reports, Mitchell was operating a Chevrolet Tahoe on AR-229 near Jackman Trail in Benton, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 1:15 a.m. Wednesday. The vehicle then came into contact with a tree before rolling over and bursting into flames.
Mitchell was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
