TUSCALOOSA COUNTY, AL. (THECOUNT) — Samuel Ryan Ellis, of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, has been identified as the pedestrian fatally struck by a vehicle Thursday in Tuscaloosa County.
Ellis, 21, was killed after he was struck by an SUV Thursday night near Tuscaloosa.
According to reports, Ellis was on-foot in the area of Highway 83 east of Tuscaloosa, when he was struck by a passing Cadillac Escalade operated by a Duncanville woman.
Ellis was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
Further details of the incident were not immediately provided by officials.
The cause of the deadly incident remains under investigation.
