CRAIGHEAD COUNTY, AR. (THECOUNT) — Grant Chandler Shelton, of Jonesboro, Arkansas, has been identified as the victim in a Monday fatal vehicle crash in Craighead County.
Shelton, 26, was killed in a single-vehicle pickup crash in Jonesboro Monday night.
According to reports, Shelton was operating a pickup truck on Neely Lane near Kellers Chapel Road in Jonesboro, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 10:30 p.m. Monday. The vehicle then came into contact with a substantial tree.
Shelton was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
