FREDERICK COUNTY, MD. (THECOUNT) — Shaun Vincent Thomas, of Cleveland, Ohio, has been identified as the East Cleveland, Ohio Police Officer killed in a Sunday motorcycle crash in Maryland.
Thomas, 44, was killed in a single-vehicle motorcycle crash near Hyattstown Sunday morning.
According to reports, Thomas was operating a Harley Davidson motorcycle with a group of riders on Interstate 270 near Dr. Perry Road in Ijamsville, when for unknown reasons, the bike wrecked Sunday around 9 a.m.
Thomas was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
