CASS COUNTY, MI. (THECOUNT) — Landen Taggart, of Dowagiac, Michigan, has been identified as the teen driver killed when a large tree limb fell on his vehicle in Cass County Wednesday evening.
Taggart, 17, was operating a vehicle in Pokagon Township Wednesday, when a large tree branch fell and struck his vehicle.
According to reports, Taggart was driving on Peavine Street near California Road in Pokagon Township, when a substantial tree branch fell on the cab of his vehicle around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday. The vehicle then came into contact with another tree.
Taggart was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
