PIKE COUNTY, AL. (THECOUNT) — Jessie Lee Dixon, of Troy, Alabama, has been identified as the victim in a Sunday night fatal vehicle crash in Pike County.
Dixon, 61, was killed in a single-vehicle crash near Troy Sunday night.
According to reports, Dixon was operating a Ford Mustang on AL-87 near Mile Marker 55, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 10:30 p.m. Sunday. The vehicle then came into contact with a grouping of trees.
Dixon was pronounced dead on the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
